Our caring dental staff
Dr Mike provides ALL the services personally. There is no hygenist, but we do have an empathetic dental assistant. We believe in a conservative approach to dentistry in order to preserve and protect your natural teeth. You can expect complete honesty as well as a thorough explanation of your dental health and treatment plan.
Dr. Michael Chopyk, DMD
Dr. Mike opened the doors to his dental practice in 1981. He is a graduate of the University of Vermont, where he earned his BA in chemistry, and graduated as an inducted member of the Phi Beta Kappa Honor Society.
He was awarded a military scholarship to attend Tufts University School of Dental Medicine, from which he graduated with a DMD in 1979.
Dr. Mike served 3 years as a lieutenant in the Dental Corps of the United States Navy, stationed at the Philadelphia Naval Base. He worked as a dentist and gained his experience and confidence.
Dr. Mike believes that in order to provide the best care to his patients, he needs to stay current. He therefore regularly attends continuing education programs. He is a former member of the South Jersey Dental Study Club..
Dr. Mike has lived in South Jersey since 1979, and in Washington Township since 1981. His office is a home office in a neighborhood setting. He and his wife have become an embedded part of the community. They raised their two now grown children here, and their children attended the Washington Township Public School System. In his time off, Dr. Mike enjoys puttering around the house and garden, antiquing, yard saling and spending time with his growing family.
Vera Chopyk, Office Manager
The wife of Dr Mike, Vera has been a jack-of-all-trades. She is the front desk, the insurance specialist, the treatment coordinator and often the chairside assistant.
She is the one who keeps the office running smoothly. She is the first face you see when you step in the door, and the last when you check out. She attends to the needs of both you, the patient, as well as the needs of the dentist.
Though her responsibilities are many, she always accomplishes them with a smile on her face.
Sandi Tomasette, Dental Assistant
Sandi joined our practice family in 1989, and has since become “family” in every sense of the word. She is skilled at both assisting Dr. Mike by attending and anticipating his needs, as well as keeping you, the patient, comfortable and calm.
She is energetic and enthusiastic. A true asset, she completes our team.

Friends are by Your Side
We are proudly partnered with Friends are by Your Side, the Wigs and Wishes gala foundation. This charitable organization signs up beauty salons that never charge a cancer patient for hair replacement. In addition, Friends are by Your Side also grants wishes to ill children.
As partners, we are pleased to offer complimentary dental exams and consultations to cancer patients experiencing oral complications from their treatment. Chemotherapy and head and neck radiation can cause side effects like mouth sores, dry mouth, and tooth decay and loss. If you are experiencing any cancer treatment complications, please call us. We can sooth your pain and help prevent decay and tooth loss.

We at Dr. Mike’s believe that giving back makes us all stronger. A healthy community, one with people who care about one another begins with every one of us. Our office has raised money for the Ukrainian Relief Effort by World Central Kitchen. We keep our eyes and hearts open to any local neighbor who may be in need. We have donated dental supplies to Cathedral Kitchen and Unforgotten Haven. We have also helped families that have lost their homes due to fire.
